Informa 2013 Production Update

Well followed private analyst, Informa Economics, projected the 2013 U.S. corn production at 14.162 billion bushels, 173 million bushels larger that the USDA’s December estimate. Informa pegged the U.S. corn yield at 161.6 bu/acre, 1.2 bushels higher than the December USDA estimate.

Informa projected the 2013 U.S. soybean production at 3.329 billion bushels, 71 million bushels higher than the latest USDA estimate. The yield was forecast at 44 bushels per acre, 1 bushel higher than the USDA’s estimate.

The USDA will release its final 2013 production estimates for corn & soybeans on January 10th
